We had a fun ward Christmas party the other night. We took a hay ride around the neighborhood, stopping at a few member's houses along the way to participate in a little petting zoo, decorate Christmas cookies and drink milk, and have our family's picture taken.
It was really fun, and culminated in seeing Santa, who rode to Arizona on his Harley. It took me awhile to convince James to go see him. At first, he utterly refused. Then he agreed, but made it clear that he was NOT going to sit on that man's lap! After seeing Joseph meet with Santa, however, James went for his pre-Christmas conference without anymore fuss. Jalen Andrew was asleep, so there are no shots of him and Santa.
As I was heading to Safeway this morning to do a big grocery shopping trip, I spotted Santa entering an Einstein's Bagel Shop. I thought for a moment about parking and going after him, and then I realized that I didn't have my camera with me anyway. As I drove on, I laughed at myself, wondering why I'm getting in a tizzy about not having a Jalen Andrew/Santa photo. Jalen Andrew could care less. His Christmas will be plenty merry without it.

the best part of that story was when you were talking about wanting to stop santa at einstein's, i thought you were all by yourself and thought it was awesome you wanted to see him! i never knew you liked santa that much!
