What's New?

Yeah! I had the money nearly saved last Thanksgiving, and have been holding onto it for nearly a year. It was my babysitting money, and I refused to put it in the bank (I know. I know. I could have gotten interest on it), but I knew it would have been used for something else, like dental bills or something. But thanks to the great Thanksgiving deal at Lowe's, which we didn't take advantage of until Saturday, we bought a new refrigerator, a new range/oven, and a new microwave. It looks great! Our old refrigerator had gotten into the habit of making a great, loud screeching noise, at the most inopportune times. It still worked fine, but it was a BIT annoying, it's ill manners and all. And the oven? It's just nice to have a new one, and such a nice, reliable hard-working one too. Did I mention that it has a self-cleaning feature? The microwave was just an added bonus -besides it matches! There was a dishwasher included in the package as well, but we decided to fore go that. Ours matches fine, and we figured that the door of a new one would be used as a step-ladder anyway, breaking the hinge within a week of getting it (We have experience here. James did that to our new dishwasher when we got it a couple of years ago, and no, he's not out of the stage yet!) I hope no one thinks I'm bragging! I'm just happy.
