I've been tagged on Facebook to write 25 random "things" about myself. I thought I'd share my quirky side with all of you as well.

1. Arby's mozzarella sticks are my downfall. I LOVE them!
2. My favorite comfort food is Tuna Noodle au Gratin, with salmon flakes substituted for the tuna, and green beans.
3. I hated ALL beans when I was growing up: green beans, refried beans, chili beans, even jelly beans.
4. Sometimes when I'm making lunches, I put a little dab of jam on a slice of cheese, for a morning snack. Don't turn up your nose at it, until you've tried it. I thought it was strange too, but now I'm hooked.
5. Yellow was my favorite color when I was really little (because the sun is yellow), then it was purple (I wanted to be like everyone else in 6th grade), then red, then black, then green. Now? Brown! Definitely brown! Not because it is the same color as chocolate, but because it is the same color of dirt!
6. I love to dig in the dirt! I guess it's that farmer gene passed down to me from my parents.
7. I don't have a green thumb though. I'm too frugal with the water!
8. I drink hot chocolate if I don't feel like eating breakfast. I also drink it at night after the kids go to bed, to calm my nerves.
9. Besides the obvious people I want to meet and talk to when I leave this earthly life, I most want to meet Mr. Rogers.
10. I have achy leg syndrome, which means that in the evenings, the muscles in my legs feel like they are going to crawl out of my skin if I don't move them. It makes it difficult to watch movies and other night time performances. Advil helps.
11. I love Zoloft! It makes me not feel so sad or afraid of life.
12. I no longer hide my hand under my pillow at night in fear of someone coming in and stealing the ring off of my finger. (My mom used to tell me the scariest stories! They weren't scary to her - just quirky - but man alive, did they terrify me! Who knew I would fixate and worry about such strange things!)
13. I went to Disneyland for the first time when I was in high school.
14. I love to go to National Parks with my family! I love seeing all the wonders that Heavenly Father has created.
15. I collect cans. No - not as a hobby, but to recycle into cash. I started doing this when I was a teenager; my Dad was out of work, and I needed to save up money for Girl's Camp. I still do it though, and proudly announce at dinner each night how many cans I found on my walk. Whew! I'm glad that's off my chest. Now you don't have to wonder what I'm doing next time you drive past - just smile and wave.
16. I wanted to be a mommy and a teacher when I grew up. I got both my wishes, just not in that order.

17. If I hadn't gone to college to be a teacher, I would have been an archaeologist or a photographer.
18. Home (both this one and my parents') and the Temple are my absolute favorite places to be!
19. I LOVE to organize (not necessarily clean) but organize! I found a really great treasure as I organized one of my mom's drawers when I was a kid. I found this framed picture of a really handsome guy. When I hit my mom up about it, she laughed and told me that it was my father. Oh! And then there was the time I found the black and white baby photo of me. I showed it to my mom, commenting that I didn't think they used black & white when I was a baby. She laughed again. It was HER baby picture!
20. My favorite singer is John Denver, thanks to the indoctrination of his music by my older brother when I was very young.
21. I am motivated by family history. I think every one's story should be told.
22. I have a love and a respect for most things creepy - spiders and snakes included.
23. Though I didn't understand my mom being this way, when I was a teenager, I now can say that I like "quiet" the best. Too many noises at once makes me shut down.
24. I was really quiet as a child. I found my voice when I was in college. I still choose to be mostly quiet (except when arguing with a teenager - I'm working on it though).
25. I'm currently sewing a king-size crazy quilt. Although it doesn't look like a true
crazy quilt. All of the fabric pieces are various sized strips sewn together. Even to be CRAZY . . . I still have to have my ORDER.
