Rebekah and I used to spend hours together, as I would braid her hair into little, tiny braids every couple of weeks. It was a love/hate relationship for both of us. It was hard on her head, the complaints were hard on my ears, and it was long and tiring for both of us. Then this year, she took over the maintenance of her hair, and has been straightening it herself.
As you can see, it is LONG and healthy.
Today she went and had her hair chemically straightened. I actually started to cry a little, as I thought about not braiding her hair anymore.
Then when I saw the finished project,
I wanted to cry again, because it made her look so much older.
She's loving being able to flip her hair around,
a treat that most of us take for granted.
And she looks BEAUTIFUL!
(although she always did)
Here's her new look . . .

oh my gosh it looks beautiful!!! i really love it! she does look so much older- please tell her she looks soo pretty (not that she didn't before- but i love the look on her!)
Does she have to do anything to it after she showers or is it perfectly straight all the time now?
She only needs to wash her hair every two weeks, or longer,
but she will need to use a straightener to iron it back out
because the relaxer can only do so much since she has a
strong curl in her hair. It will still be straighter and easier
to work with than it has been before.
She's beautiful, better keep an eye on her! :)
it looks amazing!!
