5 kids x 7 eggs each to color + 2 extra eggs in case any crack - 1 egg that Jalen Andrew cracked open, and then started to eat, shell and all = 36 eggs
Jalen Andrew had a blast coloring eggs, once he realized that he didn't need to eat them all.
He was excited to color them, so that the Easter Bunny could come and hide them (he's been hiding and finding plastic Easter eggs all week, for practice). He turned to me at one point, and said, "The Easter Bunny maybe come in Dad's truck." As I reiterated what he had said, he shrugged his shoulders and said, "Maybe." Then, "Maybe he'll come in Mom's van, maybe."
We had some great imaginative eggs this year,
and they really turned out very vibrant too.
Easter morning arrived bright and early, and just LOOK at what the Easter Bunny gave each of the boys in their basket!!!
Yes, those are harmonicas - on a General Conference Sunday - it made for a noisy day,
however, I don't think the Easter Bunny has ever given a better gift.
The boys LOVED them, and actually sounded pretty good on them.
I think that everyone was pleased with their loot.
Jalen Andrew got scared out of his mind last night, when I said that I thought I saw a bunny in the backyard (I was trying to get everyone to go to bed), and he insisted on sitting on Rebekah's lap during family prayer because he was scared of the Easter Bunny.
His tune changed this morning, however, when he saw all the nice things that the Easter Bunny brought him.
(Note to teenagers: If you're not going to cooperate when Dad's trying to take a decent picture of you, he'll snap one anyway. So sorry.)
(Can you tell who Jalen Andrew is sitting next to? You got it - Rebekah.
I think for her birthday we're going to buy her a doll that she can dress up.)
All that practice of hunting plastic eggs paid off.
Jalen Andrew was so pleased with himself every time he found another egg.
The boys are showing off their favorite egg, whether or not they decorated it.
HAPPY EASTER!
