Girls' Camp

Peace, Love and Virtue
was this year's theme for Girls' Camp.
Being a 4th year, Christine left the day after school
got out, to go on the overnighter hike.
We didn't get a picture of her before she left.
We tagged along with "the Bishop" again this year,
and had a great time.
It was a bit nippy, but that didn't stop us.
The boys and I had a good time hiking around. We tried not to hang around the girls too much,
but kind of did our own thing.

Sunday was interesting, as we didn't have our regular services in the Sacred Grove, but went instead to the chapel in town to watch the dedication of the Gila Valley Temple. Dedications are always a neat experience, but I noticed that a lot of the girls had fallen asleep during it - camping just takes it out of a person, and then to sit on a soft bench, in a quiet place, well . . . it makes it hard to keep one's eyes open.

It was good to be there with our daughters,

both the ones that belong to us, and also their friends.

And of course, let's not forget skit night. Presidents Williams, Miller & Perkins

were a complete crack-up in their stylish hippie attire.

And then the Bishops . . .

Well, let's just say that they really figured out how to let loose.

The pink Hannah Montana guitar was a nice touch, sweetie. Thanks for the laughs.
