Keepin' the Footsies Warm

I loved my pink, footed pajamas. They were the best. They were so warm and cozy. I never had cold feet in the morning. And then the worst thing happened! I grew from one winter to the next. I remember having a fit about not being able to wear those jammies anymore. Mom defused the situation by cutting off the feet. That worked, but it wasn't as great as having the feet attached. I grew again from winter to winter, but somehow managed to wear those pajamas for another year. No, it wasn't very comfortable, but I was determined. And then . . . the following year . . . I couldn't squeeze into them at all. Sigh. We had a similar meltdown with one of the bigger boys this year. He insisted on wearing last year's- too tight - jammies. I convinced him to wear something else with the promise that I would look around at the stores to see if they made footed pajamas that big. I found some (all be it, with the feet part cut off), and took him to the store. I thought he would balk at the price, since he was having to pay for them himself. He lovingly took them off the rack, and cradled them all the way to the cash register. Luckily, he had a mother who totally understood. I finally got a picture with all the boys in their footed jammies. I'm posting it in an attempt to hang onto winter (and childhood) a little bit longer
