Hello James, how are you?

Depakote.
Amazing difference.
It is as if Depakote is the key that unlocks
the James we have always known was inside somewhere.
Suddenly,
he needs hugs and closeness.
Suddenly,
he listens and obeys.
Suddenly,
he hears what is being said,
and can tell us that he hurts.
Suddenly,
he needs comforting,
time and attention,
and love.
Suddenly,
he has feelings,
and can cry.
Not the rage screams
that he usually does when his feelings are hurt,
but real flowing tears,
and sniffles.
The day he had his feelings hurt at church,
and cried,
I spent some time down by the Bishop's office,
crying my own tears.
Tears of relief for James,
tears for all the days of sadness that he felt in his 7 years of life,
that he couldn't release.
Tears because I love him,
and now I know that he actually loves me too.
****************
Let's start over.
Shall we?
Hello, James.
I'm your Mother.
How are you?

Tears from me too just reading this. So glad that you found such a sweet boy in there. These boys have been through too much in their short little lives.
