Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star

It hasn't been James' favorite past time,
and many times it was like pulling teeth to get him to read,
but somehow he read 160 books this year anyway for the Star Reader program at school.
I'm really proud of his accomplishment!
The reading wasn't as hard for him, as much as the "settling down" to read.
Jalen Andrew's got his eye on James' trophy. He's next in line to earn the STAR,
as Rebekah & Joseph both got Star Reader trophies, Jonathon got a Star Reader Certificate (he wasn't here for the whole year), and now James has the glittery Star too. Christine went to first grade at a different school, so she didn't participate.
The Stars are Aligned:
Bob, James, Heath, and Craig
James' self-portrait.
I oohed and awed about how nice a drawing it was, and it didn't dawn on me until I looked at the picture at home, that he colored himself with black hair and brown skin. Hmmm. I guess it's time to talk about being glad with the skin you were born in, again.
It sure was fun watching our STAR shine.
Good job, James! Keep up the good work.

Good job James. I know how hard that can be to read all those books.
